Digital navigation and information technologies and services for ensuring the safety of passenger and cargo transportation, driver assistance on the road, and services for reducing accidents in terms of the development of a classical transport monitoring system were  presented. Among the new products – driver monitoring service (DMS) based on video analytics technologies using artificial intelligence algorithms; driver assistance system (ADAS); video surveillance (certified system in terms of meeting the requirements of Decree of  RF Government No. 969); driver sobriety monitoring service based on an intelligent alcohol lock; driving style monitoring based on accelerometer readings; pre-trip remote medical examination using telemedicine technologies. All services are developed on the basis of the unique SpaceTeam® digital big data  telematics platform.

According to Alexey Smyatskih, SpaceTeam® CEO, digital services for automating control and driver assistance provide not only a high level of industrial safety of the enterprise, but also increase profitability, eliminate the risks associated with the car accidents or violation of drivers' health.

“When developing a transport monitoring system based on the proven ST Flagman Web cloud service, we first of all think about new technologies that increase the efficiency and safety of transportation. It is well known how high is the share of fuel costs in the budget of transport companies. One of the real ways to significantly reduce fuel consumption – up to 20% – is a safe and economical driving style. We implemented the control of driving style in our solution, " says Alexey. – The growing traffic on our roads and the ever-increasing amount of information increase the load on the driver, which increases the likelihood of his mistakes, creates additional stressful, emergency situations. Therefore, drivers need assistance systems such as DNS and AD AS. The experience of implementing such systems in car fleets shows a reduction in accidents by tens of percent."

The Driver Monitoring Service (DMS) uses video analytics technologies and artificial intelligence algorithms. The service prevents negative work scenarios instead of dealing with the consequences, and serves as an evidence base for insurance and court cases. The system implements the driver identification functionality. Access to driving a vehicle is granted automatically only to drivers who are included in the waybill for this trip. The fact of transfer of control to another person or untimely leaving of the cabin is revealed. The driving time, falling asleep on board, talking on the phone, smoking, using sunglasses, etc., distraction, unauthorized transportation of passengers in the cabin, blocking the lens of the video camera, non-compliance with safety rules (e.g. non-use of seat belts) are monitored. To assist in decision-making, emergency events are classified and archived, and an evidence base is created in the form of short video files. Video confirmation of emergencies is provided.

The driver assistance system (ADAS) warns about the danger of a collision in front, leaving the lane, or colliding with a pedestrian, recognizes road signs, the beginning of movement of the car in front, and monitors "blind" spots. Currently, one of the main trends in transport telematics is the use of video surveillance systems in transport.

The main driver of this trend is the regulatory framework in the field of transport security in terms of ensuring the requirements of the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 969 of 26.09.2016 on transport security. Video surveillance is mandatory for use on vehicles carrying out regular and registered passenger transportation and transportation of dangerous goods. SpaceTeam offers a set of certified video surveillance and video recording equipment for vehicles of categories M2, M3 (passenger vehicles) and vehicles of category N used for the transport of dangerous cargo.

The driver's sobriety monitoring service based on an intelligent alcohol lock ensures 100% safety of work, excluding drivers ' alcohol intoxication. Any attempts to manipulate the device are taken into account, the substitution of the test person is excluded, and photo and video recording is enabled during the test. Access to driving is granted only to drivers who have been tested for the absence of alcohol in the body. Additional sensors could be connected to the device that recognize important physiological parameters. In the case of a positive test, the ignition lock is blocked.

Driving style control ensures traffic safety, and the probability of an accident is reduced by 30%. Driving quality is determined based on GPS/GLONASS data and accelerometer values – sudden acceleration and braking, change of direction of movement. The operating modes of the engine are determined, violations and deviations are automatically recorded and classified. A scale of violations and integral indicators are formed. Points are calculated for each type of violation. The result of the service is a summary report on the analysis of driving styles of drivers, taking into account mileage and scoring.

The service of pre-trip remote medical examination with the use of telemedicine technologies eliminates the forgery of the results of the medical examination, unreliable conclusions of medical staff regarding the admission of drivers to perform their work duties in the travel lists. Remote medical examination takes 2-5 minutes and can be carried out at any time of the day. The service uses an automated medical terminal to measure the health indicators of the driver of the vehicle. Main features of the service: collection of health complaints, visual examination, examination of visible mucous membranes and skin, general thermometry; measurement of blood pressure, pulse examination; identification of signs of intoxication (alcohol, narcotic or other toxic), residual effects of intoxication, quantitative determination of alcohol in the exhaled air; doctor's report on the results of medical examinations; maintenance of medical examination logs in electronic form, certified by a qualified electronic signature; presentation of integrated results of the examination.
