We present to your attention ST AviOn – a new software for automating the control of the use of various production resources (automotive equipment, personnel, etc.) on the airport apron and adjacent territories. The system uses innovative approaches to the digital transformation of airports. The basis of the proposed solution is a digital telemetry platform for collecting Big Data. The platform is used to collect data from vehicles, employee, and stationary sensors based on GLONASS/GPS satellite navigation technologies.
In 2021, SpaceTeam launches a new software product – ST AviOn. To date, not only Russian companies have shown interest in Russian technologies, but also several Arab countries, as well as India. At the end of last year, the presentation of this product at the NETWORK Aviation IT Forum-2020 attracted great interest from Russian and foreign customers due to the innovative approach to the digital transformation of the airport.
Navigation and information technologies are actively used in airports for online control and management of aircraft and ground special transport, allowing you to quickly assess the situation on the apron and minimize the occurrence of emergency situations. In integration with various airport management information systems, the Digital smart airport automates the operation of all ground and air transport management services, providing dispatching control, monitoring and control of the movement of aircraft and ground specialized equipment in real time. The purpose of the system is to automate the control of the use of various production resources on the airport apron and adjacent territories.
Alexey Smyatskih, CEO of SpaceTeam, notes: "Russian airport automation technologies are trusted all over the world. This is not just about critical safety and significant economic efficiency gains, but also about the national interests. No country in the world wants to suddenly be left without air traffic because of someone's sanctions."
The new product uses innovative approaches to the digital transformation of airports. The proposed "smart" airport system, which uses information from various facilities and internal airport systems, allows you to organize a fairly strict adaptive control over resources on the apron.
"This ensures the safety of work and maximizes profits," says Svetlana Khadonova, SpaceTeam Marketing Director. "For example, the revenue growth of various air carriers, including at Vnukovo Airport, was up to 18%, the improper use of equipment was reduced, theft was eliminated, and staff discipline was improved."
According to Nikolay Kreitzer, Head of SpaceTeam Software Development Department, the basis of the proposed solution is ST Matix Pro® – the digital telematics platform for collecting Big Data. The platform is used to collect data from vehicles, pedestrian personnel and stationary sensors based on GLONASS/GPS satellite navigation technologies. The machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies implemented in the ST Connect® platform are used to collect data on the location of indoor objects. The system also implements gateways to aircraft location systems and other object location systems already implemented at the airport.
In large airports, there are always contractor organizations. To solve their daily operational tasks, SpaceTeam offers to use the special software for satellite monitoring of mobile and stationary objects – ST Flagman Web®.
A great advantage of the system is the gateway for interaction with the local airport location system or the air traffic control system (interaction via the ASTERIX protocol), or with the other proper airport systems in order to obtain the coordinates and CallSign of aircraft on the apron and in the air.
Through web services or through uploads to the database, ST AviOn integrates with the flight information system (this is AODB-we get flight numbers, planned arrival/departure times, aircraft type, parking place) and with the resource management system, (RMS-we get the task type, planned start/end times, the current status of the task).
SpaceTeam has been creating integrated management systems for airports since 2012. Our solutions are used in key aviation hubs, including Domodedovo and Vnukovo airports. In this segment, according to the Berg Insight analytical agency, the company is among the top 20 active market players.
