The project "GLONASS-based Informational-analytical vehicle control system of the Moscow Government road traffic organization Centre" got the annual national award for achievements in the field of transport and transport infrastructure in the nomination "Best innovative solution in the field of transport equipment in Russia".
The GPS\GLONASS-based Informational-analytical vehicle control system of the Moscow Government road traffic organization Centre and its integration with a Dynamic transport model of the Moscow transport hub is a perspective and innovative project. Introducing navigation and information technologies has provided a high level of automation, consequently, increased the efficiency and safety of transport operation; minimized the costs of vehicle fleet maintaining; increased quality of work and performance of staff; provided high quality of analytical decisions taken by the RTOC situation centre. This allowed to optimize the road network traffic and provided a comfortable standard of life of the population of Moscow. The implementation of the project to ensure 100% elimination of use of RTOC transport not on purpose, the in time accomplishment of tasks and planning optimization.
The project was implemented by order of the RTOC by SpaceTeam® navigation holding. CRTO’s 461 various purpose vehicles, including cars equipped with complexes of traffic rules violations photo and video recording, cars for maintenance of traffic organization equipment, and other vehicles, equipped with specialized on-board GLONASS devices.
"Getting information about the movement of our vehicles in real-time provides high quality of RTOC Situation center analytical solutions. So, we see how effective or ineffective the particular route, how much time the driver loses on this route in traffic jams, and at the end we change the routes of mobile photo and video recording complexes. Thus optimized, the road network traffic. The most important is the effectiveness of control. We are able to cover the maximum number of streets in the city. In particular, due to this, the number of violations in the paid parking area since its introduction in Moscow decreased by 64%. This is a great indicator, and we will continue to optimize our work for the good of the city", – said Vadim Yuriev, the Head of the Road Traffic Organization Centre of the Moscow Government.
In the framework of the project installation and configuration of telematic platform ST Matix® carried out for receiving and processing the telematics data from on-board vehicle navigation devices. The system is integrated with RTOC’s internal and external systems, including the traffic situation short-term forecast calculating platform (Dynamic transport model of the Moscow transport hub). The public transport vehicles are equipped with STAB® Mini 200 on-board AVL-terminals produced by SpaceTeam company and fuel level sensors.
